Robert is a respected Silicon Valley entrepreneur, advisor, lawyer, and angel investor, who has founded, built, and sold several successful technology companies.
Robert’s law firm, Kohler Law (www.Kohler-Law.com), acts as general counsel for venture-backed startups and offers cost-effective, high-quality legal and deal-making services. Kohler Law advises dozens of leading Silicon Valley technology companies, including Facebook, Marketo, Splunk, and Adobe, amongst others.
Robert founded SiteMail, one of the first providers of web-based email services, and sold it to XOOM, then stayed on to help management take the company public, do a secondary offering, and ultimately sell to NBC. Robert later co-founded Castfire, a video publishing platform for clients such as Google/Next New Networks, CBS Interactive, ESPN/Disney, Comcast, CNET, and PBS and NPR stations. Robert sold Castfire to Wide Orbit.
Robert is also an adviser for an AI/visual search company (www.seeitbuy.it), a privacy platform (www.bonafeyed.com) and a nano tech company (dPore).
Robert is also a founding partner of a hospitality enterprise with restaurant and B&B facilities (www.saucesf.com / www.sleepsf.com).
